Welcome E-mail
Soon after signing
up for a hosting account, you should receive a welcome e-mail from
CyberHostPlus which will include your username, password and IP
address. You will need your User
Name and Password to
access various features of your account, the most important of which
are described below.
Domain
Name
Often a new domain is available for use the very next day after
registration, but it could possibly take longer. Transfers generally
require 24 to 48 hours to be entered into the name server
database. If you purchased a new domain name registered through
when you signed up for your account, then you do not need to take
any further steps.
If you transferred an existing domain,
then you will need to provide the new DNS information included
in the welcome letter to your registrar in order to point your
domain at your new account.
If you have an automated
registrar, your registrars web site should be able to point you to
the appropriate form for updating your domain's DNS
information.
Note: We host but do not transfer international
domain names. If you have an international domain name you will need
to renew your domain name periodically with your current registrar.
You may access your site using your IP address
while you wait for the domain name to resolve.
Accessing Your Control Panel
To access your control panel account manager, you can login in as
follows:
http://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel
or
http://000.000.000.000/~username/cpanel/
please change the IP
number to the one we sent in
the welcome letter.
If your domain name is not pointing to
our servers yet, calling it with your IP will enable access to your
account.
Simply enter the user name and password when prompted.
Note: In rare cases, if you are
logging in from behind a company firewall, you may have problems
initially accessing your control panel. Please check with your
company's IT manager to allow access.
